Plastic People: Hollywood’s Story

2010 July 27

People in theatre, film and the arts have always been admired for their courage. The artist characteristically resists conforming to society’s pressure and emerges as an individual who follows his dream, while encouraging us to do the same. They not only play roles…they are our role models.

Watching most of the shows on TV, and the photos in magazines, I’m appalled at the number of actresses – and actors too – who chose to surgically alter their faces and bodies. For me, this decision renders them no longer the gifted, inspiring individuals that I once admired and respected. They actually look strange and repulsive.

Perhaps they’ve yielded to the cult of youth, or perhaps they haven’t cultivated a deep respect for the beauty that aging can impart. That’s where my life mission comes in!

I’m determined to inspire individuals of all ages to create life as a fascinating journey through time and to appreciate and honor our physical beings as examples of the exquisite etchings of time.

MY FACE LIFT “POEM”

Wrinkle, wrinkle little skin

Don’t bemoan the state you’re in

But treasure Time’s exquisite etching

And, by the way…STOP KVETCHING!

I’ve dedicated my life to altering both our concept, and our experience of aging. I hope to transform aging from an inevitable decline into an adventure, an opportunity and a gift. As such, I will never have my face cut, and any part of my body stitched, lifted or suctioned to look younger. Who wants to wake up each day, look in the mirror, and see a stitched up rendition of their former selves? I certainly don’t. The woman I see when I look in the mirror possesses a beauty that cannot be achieved surgically.

There’s a popular saying, “After 50, you have the face you deserve.”

I say we all deserve a beautiful face… But true beauty must be earned.

As you master self-respect and self-love, cultivating compassion, sweetness, caring, generosity and joy, you will be blessed with a face worthy of appreciation and admiration.

Yes. Resisting the surgeon’s scalpel along with the temptations we are bombarded with daily to get rid of wrinkles, lines, gray hair, and countless other aspects of aging takes true courage…but the rewards are more than worth it.

There is great beauty in self-love and the love you express to others.

BELIEVE IN MIRACLES….they are all around you.

And you are one!
